Join us in celebrating AIESEC US’s 50th anniversary with an amazing gala in New York City. It will be an incredible weekend of fun and reconnecting you won’t want to miss!

The Plan

Friday night:
  • Informal reception at the national committee’s old hangout – the one and only Flannery’s (we have the whole bar reserved just for AIESEC!)
  • Also featuring the musical styles of The Surefire Way, featuring alumnus Scott Tworek (AIESEC Madison & National Staff) & Jim Kelly (AIESEC Kansas & National Staff). Check out their music at: www.thesurefireway.com.

Saturday Afternoon:
  • 1-2:30pm: Entrepreneurship Forum
    • Interested in getting tips on how to start a business? Want to see what some alums have gone on to do? Join the entrepreneurship forum and learn how some AIESEC Alumni have made their mark on the world. If you are interested in presenting, please contact Betsy Corey at: betsyc@aiesecus.org by Sept 15th, 2006.
  • 3-4:30pm: Alumni Organization
    • Learn more about and get involved in the formation of an AIESEC US Alumni organization founded by alumni for alumni that is set to take off at the gala!
Saturday Night:
The main event! Celebrate 50 years of AIESEC US at the 50th Anniversary Gala at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square
  • 7pm: Cocktail hour
    Attire: Black Tie Optional
  • 8pm: 3 course Dinner & Guest Speakers:
    • John Mroz, President and Founder of the EastWest Institute: Mr. Mroz has created the EastWest Institute to be an independent, not-for-profit, international institution working to address the most dangerous fault lines of the 21st Century and to help build fair, prosperous and peaceful civil societies in those areas. He has received numerous international awards including Germany's highest award to a non-citizen for his role in helping to facilitate German reunification.

    • Lee Nehrt, one of the AIESEC US Founders: Lee Nehrt started the first AIESEC LC at Columbia University in 1956 and the sent the first AIESEC US student abroad later that year. He spent his career as an advisor to the Ford Foundation in the middle east, a USAID advisor in Indonesia, a director at the World Trade Institute, and a professor at various universities nationwide.

  • 9pm-??: Dancing, drinking, and a whole lot more!
Sunday Morning: Brunch at the Marriott Marquis and farewells

We’ll email you all the times, meeting locations, attire recommendations (no, a balloon is NOT considered “semi-formal”) , etc. as the event gets closer if you Register or Save Your Space.
